About… well… hmmm.

Well, hey, I’m Jen. I craft. I also like to write. And I like to sell the stuff I make, so I can make more. And it makes me happy. I like to write because, well, I do. I was an English major. And a business major.  That’s a double major for those of you that have trouble counting.  Before that, I was a marketing major, an interior design major, and firstly, a fashion design major.  Wow. That looks far worse written out like that.  Loved all of those majors.  Actually, only the English Lit one. Because I hate getting taught about stuff and then subjectively critiqued by professors-that-are-supposed-to-be-objective. And marketing? To sell stuff to people that have no need for it? (Not here though, you need the stuff I make. Swear.)  But, I never finished. Had about a year?  Sixty-ish credits? to complete this dual major.  Went to work for my family instead. Though, getting that degree is looking more and more important. But less and less desirable.

ANYWAY.

Dahara Dreaming is my company.  I’ve often considered changing the business name. But can’t bear to do it.  I’m always thinking/dreaming/processing.  And Dahara is a derivative of the Sanskrit word D’hara – to be of the earth, in the earth, a dark place, a rock.  And all this stuff, all we are, all we do, it’s interconnected. Sustained by Earth. Like it or not, you’ve just happened upon a mippie’s website.

Mippie: Modern Hippe. No pot. Lots of earth love. Even more swearing.
